Mobile Imager SDK for the Symbol MC 50
The Mobile Imager SDK is a toolkit which allows you to quickly develop point
and shoot camera applications using Pocket Internet Explorer (PIE). The toolkit
consists of an ATL/COM Control and an HTML/JScript page which you may modify in
order to create custom solutions. The Control lets you preview, capture and
upload images to a Web Server via either FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or
HTTP-PUT (RFC-2068). No server scripting (.ASP or .ASPX) or web page is
required for the upload process. Your web server needs only a designated upload
directory which should be configured for secure access. Additionally the
control gives you both aural alerts and a visual progress bar during the upload
process. The feature functionality of this control lets you create scriptable
client side applications using Pocket Internet Explorer. Which in turn allows
you to rapidly build Web based applications using the preferred security safe
HTTP or FTP protocols. This is a Symbol ISV Logoed Product.
Note, this will run on any MC 50 compatible imaging engine, like the MC 70.
The retail toolkit sells for $250 USD. Download the free trial version for
a test drive. Software Features:
